Rules & Regulations for Conduct
- I will not smoke or vape in the classroom – only in assigned areas.
- I will not engage or allow any “horse play”, “practical jokes” or other behavior that could cause injury to myself or others.
- I will check all scaffolding & ladders for defects and weight allowance. I will not use any that are defective. I will properly identify defective equipment and tools. I will report the defects to the instructor. I will not use a type III household ladder.
- I will not use any hazardous materials until I have been instructed in the proper precautions needed when using such materials. I will use the approved personal protective equipment furnished for use with such materials.
- I will report to the instructors any unsafe acts.
- I will properly store and dispose of hazardous waste materials.
- I will use the necessary precautions when handling flammable materials in order to prevent explosions and fire.
- I will not create any hazards for others and will clean up all spills as soon as possible.
- I will not operate any equipment until I have been properly instructed in the use of that equipment.
- I will use the appropriate warning signs to protect others.
- I will not block passages with scaffolding without the proper protection for those passages and the scaffolding.
- I understand that persons caught stealing or defacing property will be dismissed from the program.
- I will request and wear personal protective equipment as needed to protect my body.
- I will make safety a priority.
